Overview

The Smith River Sports Complex is a dynamic, multi-purpose athletic and recreation complex. It started with soccer but it is much more than soccer!

The Sports Complex includes the following amenities:  2 Championship FieldTurf synthetic fields (225' x 360') with Musco Sports Lighting, wireless electronic scoreboards, and fixed seating for 250 at each field, ~ 3 additional full-size (225' x 360') Bermuda T-10 hybrid grass fields with lights and irrigation, ~ 1 full-size Bermuda T-10 practice field ~ a Legacy Court with concessions, restrooms, office and meeting space ~ 2 picnic pavilions, a child's playgound, and walking trails throughout the complex that lead to the Smith River observation deck with a kayak/canoe launch. The trails will eventually connect to adjacent property along the Smith River for hiking, fishing, bird watching and river access.

The fields can be rented for tournaments, league games, clinics, camps, practices, band competitions, group outings or you can rent the Pavilions or Meeting Room for church, school or company events.

The Complex is located in Martinsville, VA, off Route 58E at the Irisburg Road (Rt. 650) exit. The street address is 1000 Irisburg Road, Axton, VA 24054.
