SVRFA Board Meeting

The SVRFA Board of Directors will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 5:00pm in the EDC Board Room located in the SunTrust Bank Building Uptown.

Bassett High School Soccer Combined Scrimmage

Bassett High School will be hosting a Combined Soccer Scrimmage starting at 5:00pm today. The other teams include Christiansburg, Carroll County & Magna Vista High Schools. The game schedule is listed below.

**All matches will be played at the Smith River Soccer Complex.

**All teams need a light and dark colored jersey or scrimmage vest.

Martinsville Uppr9t Academy

Greensboro and the Piedmont Triad's premier soccer training program is coming to Martinsville, Virginia for an 8 week Academy program.

Curriculum: SoccerOP specializes in teaching the individual technical skills that allow players to excel on the field.  Players will be taught and challenged in all the basic and advanced techniques of soccer (trapping, shooting, passing, heading and moves).


Trainer: Wes Lewis (Martinsville native and Assistant Director Greensboro SoccerOP)


Location: Smith River Sports Complex - Grass Field #1 on March 10 th and Grass Field #3 on the other dates.


When: 8 weeks - Wednesdays, March 10, 24, 31, April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5


Cost: $80 (includes academy shirt)
